Previous projects
Robert Tannahill Project
The Robert Tannahill Project was an initiative funded by Paisley Museum Re-imagined, OneRen and the Heritage Lottery Fund. The purpose of the project was to engage young people with the Paisley Poet, Robert Tannahill through an expressive arts project using drama, dance and music. We delivered creative workshops in East Fulton and Lochwinnoch Primary Schools alongside a freelance drama and music artist.
Our Story
This was a collaborative project with Langbank Primary School, supported by Renfrewshire Council’s Local Partnership fund for Erskine, Bishopton and Langbank. Using the local area as inspiration, children gathered stories from parents, grandparents and neighbours. These stories were brought to life through a dance performance, where the whole school performed in the school playground for the local community. PACE and Erskine Arts were partners for the project.
Just for You
This is an exciting new partnership project with West College Scotland to develop a dance programme with a health and wellbeing focus for adults and those with additional support needs within Renfrewshire. The project is supported by the Scottish Government through the Renfrewshire Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund.
Get Dancing
This is a free project to engage early years (age 3-7 years) in dance. The project offered free dance workshops in schools and nurseries to encourage young children to socialise, create and communicate. The project was supported by Renfrewshire Council’s Local Partnership fund for the Paisley North, West and Central area.

Our story
right2dance is a community dance company dedicated to inspiring creativity and providing dance opportunities for all. We aim to break down barriers, increase access to the arts and raise aspirations through a programme of dance that is creative, inclusive and accessible to all.

We deliver classes for children, young people and adults of all abilities, through a core programme of weekly dance classes, holiday programmes, school workshops and outreach projects, often collaborating with other local arts organisations. At right2dance we encourage everyone to participate in dance, from the complete beginner to the aspiring professional and we try to create new opportunities through attendance at events, workshops and performances.

Our dancers perform each year in local arts venues and represent right2dance at both local and national events. We also create pathways for those interested in training to a professional standard and have been part of the journey of a number of successful performers, tutors and choreographers.
Each week right2dance provides many classes as part of a core programme, for ages 3 through to adults. Dancers are encouraged, inspired and nurtured to explore their passion while having fun, making new friends and improving their overall well-being.
Established in 1973, the company has now been providing dance opportunities within Renfrewshire for over 50 years.
